Founded in 1975 by Ted Crutcher and his son Graham, General Pump Company (often referred to as General Pumps) has grown from a small family business into one of Australia’s leading pump specialists. Proudly Australian-owned and managed, we began with a focus on the sales, service, and repair of pumps for residential and small commercial applications.
Now celebrating 50 years of innovation and reliability, General Pump Company has evolved into a trusted name across industries, supplying pumps and pumping solutions to building services, industrial, government, and mining sectors. While Graham remains actively involved, the company is now led by his sons Tim, Ross, and Andrew, marking the third generation of leadership, with the fourth generation already contributing to the business.
With access to over 240 international pump manufacturers, we provide tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. In January 2015, we expanded into a larger facility in Emu Plains, NSW, featuring a spacious showroom, modern office, 1,000 sqm factory, and enhanced workshop and manufacturing areas, ensuring faster service, expert support, and efficient dispatch of pump systems.
To further strengthen our presence and support our growing customer base, we established a Queensland branch in Morningside, providing local expertise, dedicated service, and fast access to our extensive product range for clients across the region.
